Almería public holidays and shop opening days (2026 and 2027)

Almería’s two local holidays in 2026 are 24 June and 29 August, as the Junta de Andalucía’s BOJA annex lists them, and the region sets which Sundays and holidays shops may open.

Why it matters

Local holidays close offices, schools and many shops, and they move administrative deadlines.

Steps

1. Find the local holidays
The BOJA annex (Resolución de 6 de octubre de 2025, BOJA 197 of 14 October 2025) lists 24 June and 29 August for 2026.
2. Add the regional holidays
   The Junta de Andalucía lists these for 2026: 1 and 6 January, 28 February, 2 and 3 April, 1 May, 15 August, 12 October, 2 November, 7, 8 and 25 December. For 2027 (Decreto 84/2026): 1 and 6 January, 1 March, 25 and 26 March, 1 May, 16 August, 12 October, 1 November, 6, 8 and 25 December.
3. Check when shops may open
   The Junta lists 16 authorized shop-opening days for 2026: 4 and 11 January, 28 February, 2 April, 3 May, 5 and 26 July, 2 and 15 August, 12 October, 2 and 29 November, 7, 13, 20 and 27 December. A council may swap up to two of them.
4. Plan around closures
Local holidays are paid, non-recoverable days off for workers and count as non-working days for administrative deadlines, so offices may be closed and deadlines can move; check the office’s own page.
