Shop opening on Sundays and holidays in Andalusia

Large shops in Andalusia may open on Sundays and holidays only on sixteen days a year, set by a yearly order of the regional government. Small shops, bakeries and other shops with free hours can open on other days.

Why it matters

Most big supermarkets are closed on Sundays and holidays, so you need to know the few days they can open and plan your shopping around them.

When

You want to buy food or other goods on a Sunday or holiday in Andalusia.
