Tips
- The library FAQ says anyone can use the services and obtain a user card independent of place of residence or nationality. The card is needed for loans, public computers and Wi-Fi registration; reading rooms need no card.
- Full schedules confirmed from the official library-hours page for all season periods (winter 1 Oct-31 May, two summer periods, Feria de Agosto, Christmas/Reyes, Holy Week). The five 'continuous hours' libraries (open all day, no midday closure) are Miguel de Cervantes/Bailen-Las Chapas (C/ Juan Fernandez Suria 2), Manuel Altolaguirre/Cruz del Humilladero (C/ Calatrava 6), Jose Moreno Villa/Churriana (C/ Maestro Vert 21), Vicente Espinel/Puerto de la Torre (C/ Escritora Matilde del Nido 1), and Bernabe Fernandez-Canivell/Pedregalejo (C/ Practicante Pedro Roman 7, Sat-only among the Saturday-open set). Most other branch libraries keep split morning/afternoon hours and were not individually addressed on this page; a separate 'Encuentranos' page is referenced for the remaining addresses. Whether a foreign passport/NIE is accepted for a library card was still not confirmed.
