Pay the vehicle tax (IVTM) in Málaga

Gestrisam, Málaga’s tax agency, runs the vehicle tax (IVTM): in 2026 payment without direct debit ran 2 March to 6 May, and direct debit is charged on a fixed date.

Why it matters

Newcomers who own or buy a vehicle get a yearly local bill they may not expect; knowing the council’s window avoids late charges.

You own a vehicle registered in Málaga and the yearly vehicle tax is due.
