Rota’s beaches (Bandera Azul and accessibility services)
Rota has eight named beaches managed under its Delegación de Playas y Mar. Several hold or have held Bandera Azul (Blue Flag) status for multiple consecutive years (Los Galeones since 2013; Chorrillo-Rompidillo since 2010; La Costilla continuously for roughly the last decade; Puntalillo since 2009; Punta Candor since 2010; La Ballena since 2012), several carry ISO 9001/14001, EMAS and 'Q de Calidad Turística' certifications, and all listed beaches offer botiquín (first-aid post), restrooms, accessibility aids, shade, parking and water-quality testing. Peginas-Aguadulce is not classified as an official bathing-water zone.
