Register on the Padrón (Empadronamiento) in San Roque

New residents of the San Roque municipality (which includes Sotogrande, Guadiaro, Puente Mayorga and other districts) must register on the municipal padrón at the Ayuntamiento de San Roque. The town’s Estadística y Registro department handles this; the city’s official page does not confirm whether Sotogrande has its own satellite registration office.

Why it matters

The padrón is required for school enrollment, health-card assignment, NIE/TIE renewals, and many other administrative steps, so it is typically one of the first things a new foreign resident must do.
