Huesca public holidays and shop opening days (2026 and 2027)

Huesca’s two local holidays in 2026 are 22 January (San Vicente) and 10 August (San Lorenzo), as the Aragón labor resolution lists them, and the region sets which Sundays and holidays shops may open.

Why it matters

Steps

  1. Find the local holidays
The Aragón labor authority’s resolution of 4 November 2025 (BOA of 20 November 2025) lists 22 January and 10 August for 2026.
  2. Add the regional holidays
    Aragón’s 2026 list includes 1 and 6 January, 2 and 3 April, 23 April (San Jorge, Día de Aragón), 1 May, 15 August, 12 October, 2 November and 7, 8 and 25 December. For 2027 (Decreto 163/2026, BOA of 18 September 2026): 1 and 6 January, 25 and 26 March, 23 April, 1 May, 16 August (in place of Sunday 15), 12 October, 1 November and 6, 8 and 25 December.
  3. Check when shops may open
Orden PEJ/1615/2025 authorizes shop opening on these Sundays and holidays in 2026: 4 and 11 January, 28 June, 1 and 29 November, and 6, 8, 13, 20 and 27 December. Stores over 300 m² and shopping centers could ask for alternative dates until 4 December 2025.
  4. Plan around closures
Local holidays are paid, non-recoverable days off for workers and count as non-working days for administrative deadlines, so offices may be closed and deadlines can move; check the office’s own page.
