Take a taxi in Gijón (official fares)

Gijón taxis are licensed by the Ayuntamiento and charge regional government-approved metered fares; the 2026 urban fares (in force in Gijón since 20 March 2026) are €2.32 flag drop and €1.26/km by day, with a higher night/weekend/holiday tariff.

Why it matters

Knowing the official tariff and when the night/holiday rate applies helps you check the meter and budget for late-night, airport or luggage-heavy trips.
