Do your grocery shopping in Gijón

In Gijón you buy food at supermarkets, small neighborhood shops and markets, including a municipal market at La Camocha, a monthly craft-and-organic market and a Sunday rastro. Most large stores close on Sundays and public holidays, and plastic bags must be paid for.

Why it matters
Knowing which stores are nearby, how bags and produce weighing work, and where to buy fresh local food makes the first weeks much easier, especially because most shops are closed on Sundays (see GLIFE-0054).
When
You have moved into a flat and need to stock a kitchen, or want to shop for fresh Asturian produce, fish and cheese.
