Know eating-out, tipping and sidreria norms in Gijon

Spanish restaurants serve lunch around 1-3 pm and dinner from about 9 pm, tipping is optional, and in Asturian sidrerias cider is poured from height (escanciado) in small amounts called culines and drunk at once.
