Las Palmas de Gran Canaria’s beaches: lifeguards, water quality and rules

The council’s beaches page covers Las Canteras, El Confital, Las Alcaravaneras, San Cristóbal and La Laja, and a council beach portal (Lpamar) shows water quality and links to lifeguard schedules.

Why it matters

Some beaches have strong currents and the lifeguard service is seasonal on some of them, so check before you swim.
