Get your SESCAM health card (tarjeta sanitaria)
The Tarjeta para la Atención Sanitaria is the SESCAM card that proves your entitlement to public healthcare in Castilla-La Mancha and carries the patient ID (CIP) used for booking.
- Why it matters
- You need it to see a public GP, book appointments online or by app, and get subsidized prescriptions.
- When
- After you register on the padrón in a Castilla-La Mancha municipality and are entitled to public care (e.g. via Social Security affiliation).
- How long it takes
- Administration has one month to decide a renewal (silence = approved); up to 2 months for the immigrant-population card.
