Get a public library card (Biblioteca Pública de Burgos)

Adults (14+) request a library card at the Biblioteca Pública de Burgos, run by the Castilla y León library system; the Ayuntamiento also has municipal library cards.

What you need

• Application form completed at the library or online via TABI; adults apply in person; minors via a parent or legal representative.

Steps

1. Who and where
   Anyone aged 14 or over can get the free adult card of the Castilla y León library network at any municipal library: Gonzalo de Berceo, Teatro Principal, María Teresa de León, Miguel de Cervantes, and the civic-center libraries of San Agustín, Río Vena and Capiscol.
2. Documents
   Application form (given at the library) plus valid DNI, residence card or passport, and a photocopy of it.
3. Collect
   You receive an SMS or email to collect the card at the chosen library. Alternatively apply online through the TABI app (with electronic certificate/DNIe, the card can be posted to you).
4. Use
   The card is valid in every library of the Castilla y León network. Free, except replacement for a lost card.
