Steps
- Find the local holidays
The University of León’s resolution on 2026 holidays lists the local holidays as 24 June (San Juan) and 5 October (San Froilán). - Add the regional holidays
Castilla y León’s 2026 work holidays under Decreto 9/2025 are: 1 and 6 January; 2 and 3 April; 23 April; 1 May; 15 August; 12 October; 2 November (moved from 1 November); 7 December (moved from 6 December); 8 December; 25 December. The 2027 calendar was not read for this card. - Check when shops may open
The Junta’s commerce page, citing Orden IEM/1132/2025 of 8 October, lists these days when shops may open in 2026: 4 and 11 January, 2 April, 28 June, 5 July, 15 August, and 8, 13, 20 and 27 December. - Plan around closures
Local holidays are paid, non-recoverable days off for workers, so offices and many shops may be closed; check the office’s own page before booking.
