Tips
- Organic and residual bins are collected 20:00-22:00 and the others 08:00-22:00 per the guide; some districts use different collection systems (press).
- Per the official Ajuntament de Barcelona page on old furniture/junk collection, the home-pickup service runs Monday to Friday with collection promised within 36 hours ('en menys de 36 hores'), requested via the Virtual Procedures Office (Oficina Virtual de Tràmits). It is free for people with a disability certificate and for people with mobility difficulties who have no one to help carry furniture down and can document that. The page does NOT state a price for the standard paid service — still not found. It also does not mention a door-to-door collection system for specific neighborhoods, and does not state a publication/update date for any recycling guide — both still open. Collection-day lookup by street is via the Tràmits portal, phone 010, or Civic Behavior line (+34) 900 226 226.
