Bicing bike share

Barcelona’s public bike-share; press says 2026 overage fees rose 15% while subscription rates stayed unchanged.

Per the official Bicing subscriber contract (Bicing.barcelona ContracteCAT.PDF): only natural persons (individuals) of legal age may subscribe, one registration per person; payment is by bank card. Minors aged 16-17 can register with a signed parental/guardian authorization, with the parent/guardian authorizing card charges and sending a copy of their DNI/NIE. The contract does NOT mention padrón registration or NIE as a requirement for the subscriber themself (NIE is only referenced for a minor’s parent/guardian). The annual subscription PRICE was still NOT found in this official document — it states rates are published on the Bicing website (bicing.barcelona) but that page could not be successfully checked (client error). Unofficial sources (3Cat, Oct 2026) report Barcelona 'froze' Bicing prices for 2026 alongside other municipal fees, implying no increase from the prior year, but this is not an official figure and should not be used without confirming the 2026 euro amount directly on bicing.barcelona.
