Know your consumer rights when buying second-hand in Girona
Spain’s consumer law gives a legal guarantee on goods bought from a business (second-hand goods: agreed period of no less than one year), not on private sales. Girona’s municipal fairs ordinance includes a Fira del Col·leccionisme in plaça Catalunya on Sundays and holidays.
- Why it matters
- Furnishing a flat second-hand is common; knowing which purchases carry a legal guarantee tells you what you can claim if something fails.
- When
- You are buying or selling used furniture, appliances or electronics, or visiting the collectors' fair.
