Girona’s grant for school trips and materials (igualtat d’oportunitats)

Girona’s council gives a yearly grant to publicly funded schools in the city to help students whose families struggle to pay for school trips or required class materials; families go through the school, not the council.

Why it matters

Families who cannot afford trips or materials should ask the school’s family aid commission, which is how the grant reaches them.

When

Your child’s school asks you to pay for a trip or class materials you cannot afford.
