Rubbish, bulky items and the recycling center (deixalleria)

Bulky items are collected free at night by appointment; the fixed recycling center takes special waste and is free for people registered in the city.

Why it matters: Furniture and appliances cannot just be left on the street.
When: You need to get rid of a mattress, appliance, furniture or hazardous waste.

Cost: Free for residents (bulky service and registered residents at the recycling center)

What you need

Bulky collection: book day and time; up to 5 items per household per day; items left beside the nearest containers, never inside the home or at the door (Telèfon Verd page).
Recycling center: registered residents show DNI at the entrance; unregistered owners of a home in the city complete an authorization form first.
