Steps

  1. Find the 2026 holidays
The Ciudad de Ceuta’s resolution of 19 September 2025 (BOCCE of 26 September 2025) lists 14 days: 1 January, 6 January, 20 March (Eidul Fitr), 2 April (Jueves Santo), 3 April (Viernes Santo), 1 May, 27 May (Eidul Adha), 13 June (San Antonio), 5 August (Nuestra Señora de África), 15 August, 2 September (Día de Ceuta), 12 October, 8 December and 25 December.
  2. Note the Ceuta days
The resolution is based on the Presidency’s decree of 29 August 2025 and the Government Delegation’s resolution of 15 September 2025 on the city’s local holidays. The days particular to Ceuta are the two Muslim holidays (20 March, 27 May), San Antonio, Nuestra Señora de África and Día de Ceuta.
  3. Check when shops may open
No official page listing the Sundays and holidays when shops may open was read for Ceuta; check with the city’s commerce department before planning around it.
  4. Plan around closures
Local holidays are paid, non-recoverable days off for workers and count as non-working days for administrative deadlines, so offices may be closed and deadlines can move; check the office’s own page.
