Language-support programs (PAL/PASE) for newly arrived foreign students in Valencian schools

The Generalitat Valenciana runs a language-reception program (referred to at the regional level as PASE — Programa d’Acollida al Sistema Educatiu / Programa de Acogida al Sistema Educativo, and implemented at school level as PAL — Programa de Acogida Lingüística) for students newly arrived in Spain who do not know Spanish or Valencian, giving them temporary small-group language support alongside their regular bilingual classes.
