Parking in Xàbia (no citywide 'zona azul' confirmed as implemented)

As of the most recent official reporting located when we checked (2021), Xàbia had drafted a traffic ordinance (ordenanza de circulación) that created the legal framework for regulated/paid parking zones and resident parking cards, but explicitly stated that approving the ordinance did NOT itself create any blue zone — no confirmation was found that a zona azul has since been activated townwide.

Why it matters

Newcomers should not assume Jávea/Xàbia has a paid 'zona azul' system like many Spanish towns; parking appears to be largely unregulated/free in most areas as of the latest sources found, though this should be re-checked for 2026.
