Register on the municipal padrón (empadronamiento) in Torrevieja
The padrón is the town hall’s register of residents; in Torrevieja you apply for an alta (or change of address) with the MOD.T20 padrón sheet and proof you occupy the address, by appointment booked on the council’s sede electrónica.
- Why it matters
- Many later steps (health card, school, local services, some immigration paperwork) ask for a padrón certificate. Torrevieja has a large foreign-resident population and the council publishes the document list in English.
