Understand taxi rules and fares in Torrevieja

Torrevieja’s taxi ordinance was definitively published in the provincial gazette (BOP Alicante no. 104, 3 June 2025) and leaves urban fares to a Local Government Board decision; until then the Generalitat’s interurban fares apply.

Why it matters

Knowing which fares apply helps you check a taxi meter; the council’s urban fares exist only as a draft.
