Register on the València padrón (alta)
Register your address with the Ayuntamiento de València (empadronamiento). The sede procedure PA.GP.11 (info updated 14/11/2025) covers alta for change of residence (from another municipality or abroad), alta por omisión, and change of address within the city; it can be done online with digital signature or in person at 11 offices.

- How long it takes
- Maximum resolution time 3 months; administrative silence is favorable (estimatorio) if the essential requirements are met (sede PA.GP.11).

One Easy to miss, on us
A rental contract must run longer than six months; contracts renewed month to month do not count. The latest rent receipt or bank transfer must be from the last two months.
