Pay València’s rubbish fee and other council fees

València’s new rubbish fee (tasa de basuras) is billed once a year to the owner on 1 January, based on last year’s water use, with a 2% bonus for direct debit from 2026.

Steps

  1. Know who is billed and how it is set
    The council says the main person liable is the owner of the property on 1 January each year, the amount is based on the previous year’s drinking water consumption, and it is charged once a year.
  2. Check the payment period
    The council says the period depends on when you receive the notice: received on the 1st to 15th, pay by the 20th of the next month; received on the 16th to month end, pay by the 5th of the second following month (next working day if a holiday).
  3. Pay
    The page lists the online portal with a bank gateway or card, the electronic office with a digital signature, or the Oficina de Gestión Tasa de Residuos, phone 963 52 54 78 (Monday to Friday 8:30 to 14:00).
  4. Domicile from 2026
    The council says the first payment cannot be domiciled, but later ones can be, with a 2% bonus; the electronic office has a specific procedure for this fee.
