Report a crime in Cáceres
In Cáceres you can file a denuncia in person at the Policía Nacional complaints office (Cáceres, ODAC (Comisaría), Avda. Pierre de Coubertin, 13 (listed as 'Pierre de Coubertain')); minor property crimes can also be started online and then signed at the station you pick within 72 hours.
- Why it matters
- Insurers, the Policía Nacional and later procedures (replacing a stolen passport or NIE/TIE) usually ask for the denuncia number, so knowing which office takes it avoids losing days.

What you need
- Photo ID or passport; details of what happened and a list of stolen items (general denuncia practice; confirm at the office).
- Online pre-filing: you must sign at the chosen police station as soon as possible and never later than 72 hours, otherwise the complaint has no legal validity (Oficina Virtual de Denuncias).
Steps
- If the crime is happening now or someone is in danger, call 091 or 112
The online complaint service says crimes in progress must be reported immediately by calling 091 or 112. - Go to the denuncias office in Cáceres
The Policía Nacional directory lists: Cáceres, ODAC (Comisaría), Avda. Pierre de Coubertin, 13 (listed as 'Pierre de Coubertain'). Phone and opening hours are not shown in the directory; the Policía Nacional site states that any comisaría is open 24 hours (confirm for this office). - Or start the denuncia online, then sign in person
On the Oficina Virtual de Denuncias, choose the station, complete the form (available in Spanish, English, French and German) and sign at that station within 72 hours. The service cannot be used for violent or sexual offenses, when the culprit is known or could be recognized, when there are witnesses, or when the complainant is a minor. - Keep your copy and denuncia number
Keep the copy for insurers or to replace stolen documents. For the passport, NIE or TIE see the national guide to reporting a crime.
