Beaches near Ibiza Town and Blue Flag (Bandera Azul) status

No beach within the municipality of Eivissa (Ibiza Town) appears on the official 2026-2027 Blue Flag (Bandera Azul) award list; the Ibiza-island beaches that do hold the flag are all in the neighboring municipalities of Sant Joan de Labritja (Cala Benirrás, Cala Sant Vicent, Port de Sant Miquel) and Santa Eulària des Riu (Santa Eulària, Cala Llenya, Es Canar, Es Figueral).

Why it matters

Newcomers looking for Blue-Flag-certified beaches (a marker of water quality, safety, and accessibility standards) should look outside Ibiza Town itself; the town’s own close-in beaches (e.g., Talamanca, Platja d’en Bossa area) are not on the current award list.
