Rubbish, recycling and bulky items in Palma (EMAYA)
EMAYA runs waste collection. Bulky items (furniture, mattresses) go out on your street’s assigned evening between 20:00 and 22:00, max 4 objects; appliances, electrical items, rubble and hazardous waste go to the parques verdes at Son Castelló or Sant Jordi, which are for Palma residents only.

What you need
- For parques verdes: proof of Palma residence with DNI (non-residents with property show last IBI receipt with DNI).
- For vehicles: access is restricted for vehicles over 3,500 kg authorized mass.
Steps
- Find your bulky-item day
Enter your street in EMAYA’s finder (or use the zone map/PDF) to see the weekday for your neighborhood. When that day is a holiday the collection still runs. - Put items out 20:00-22:00
Leave them next to your house without blocking the way, never next to containers; maximum 4 objects per day; households only, not businesses. Collected: furniture, mattresses and bed bases, doors, shutters and wood, bikes, prams, non-electronic toys, large glass if wrapped. - Take everything else to a parque verde
Open daily 8:00-20:00 (last vehicle admission 19:45; closed 25 Dec and 1 Jan). Accepts appliances, small electrics, batteries, rubble from small home works (5 sacks), paint, fluorescent tubes, oil, clothing (5 bags) and more within daily limits.

Tips
- Home collection of appliances is offered only for elderly people or people with mobility or financial difficulties (details in EMAYA’s AEE leaflet).
- The old model of phoning to book a bulky collection is not on the current EMAYA page; use the street-day system.
- Container colors/schedules differ by area (some northern neighborhoods have door-to-door collection); see EMAYA’s 'Cómo separar los residuos' page.
