What you need

Steps

  1. Call 091 or 112 if it is happening now
The online denuncia page says crimes in progress are reported by calling 091 or 112.
  2. Decide: online first, or in person
The Policía Nacional online denuncia (Spanish, English, French, German screens) cannot be used if there was violence or intimidation, the author is known or could be recognized, there are witnesses, the reporter is a minor, or the facts are violent or sexual. Online reports only go to the Policía Nacional.
  3. If you filed online, sign at the police station
The online page says you must sign the report at the station you chose as soon as possible and no later than 72 hours, bringing the reference number you receive; without the signature the report has no legal validity.
  4. Or go in person
The Policía Nacional list of denuncia offices for the Balearic Islands shows one office on this island: 'IBIZA-OF. DENUNCIAS', Avda. de la Paz s/n; none is listed in this municipality. The Policía Local phones are 971 330 841 / 971 330 855 (council page).
  5. Bring ID
The Guardia Civil page says to show an ID (DNI, passport or other valid document); the officer records your statement in writing and both sign it.
