Shop online and receive parcels (Amazon.es, Correos, Citypaq lockers, customs)
How online orders and parcels work in Spain: ordering from Spanish storefronts such as Amazon.es, collecting from Correos offices or 24/7 Citypaq lockers, your 14-day return right, and the VAT and new EUR 3 customs duty that apply to goods shipped from outside the EU (for example from the US).
- Why it matters
- Online shopping is the easiest way to furnish a flat quickly, and parcels from the US (or ordered from US sellers) now trigger VAT plus, since 1 July 2026, a fixed customs duty that can surprise you at the door.
- When
- You are ordering things for your new home, expect a parcel from friends or family in the US, or you missed a delivery.
- How long it takes
- Citypaq parcels must be collected within 5 calendar days (Correos). EU withdrawal period for online purchases: 14 days from delivery (Your Europe).
