Book a Traffic (DGT) appointment
Most in-person procedures at a provincial Traffic office (Jefatura de Tráfico) need an appointment (cita previa), which you book free of charge on the DGT website, in the miDGT app or by phone on 060.
- Why it matters
- Driving license and vehicle procedures happen at the Jefatura. The DGT page says most of its procedures can also be done online or by other means without an appointment, so check your procedure first.
- When
- You need an in-person DGT procedure, such as exchanging a foreign license or vehicle paperwork, and the DGT’s catalog says it needs an appointment.
- How long it takes
- The DGT says it will try to give you an appointment as soon as possible, and at least within 15 days of your request.
