Money for families with children: official supports
Three Spain-wide supports for families are described on official pages: the complemento de ayuda para la infancia (paid with the Ingreso Mínimo Vital by Social Security), the Tax Agency’s deducción por maternidad and its monthly advance payment (modelo 140), and the título de familia numerosa, which each region issues. This card describes each one’s process and the conditions as the pages state them; the agencies decide each case.
- Why it matters
- Families who move to Spain can read what each official page lists, which office handles it, and the deadlines, so none of the supports is missed.
- When
- You have a child under 18 in Spain, or a new baby, or three or more children.
- How long it takes
- Advance payment runs until the child turns three; changes must be reported within 15 calendar days. The complemento is reviewed by Social Security while the requirements last.
