The official disability certificate (certificado de grado de discapacidad)
A degree of disability is recognized under Real Decreto 888/2022 by the regional bodies (the Imserso handles Ceuta and Melilla) after an assessment, and is valid across the State. IMSERSO says a person with a recognized degree of 33% or more is considered to have a disability for all purposes.
- Why it matters
- Other official pages that depend on a recognized disability, such as parking cards, a non-contributory pension or tax and work measures that the Imserso page lists, start from this recognition. This card describes the process and does not say whether anyone qualifies.
