Keep your car’s registered address up to date with the DGT
When you move, the DGT says to ask for a change of your vehicle’s fiscal address within 15 days. It is free by the usual channels (online, app, phone 060, a participating council, or a traffic office) and is a separate step from updating your notification address.
- Why it matters
- The address on your vehicle’s registration decides which council bills your vehicle tax, and the notification address decides where fines and recall notices are sent. Both can go out of date after a move.
- When
- You own a car or other vehicle registered in Spain and have moved to a new address.
