Steps
- Find the local holidays
The Acuerdo of the La Rioja Government allows up to two local holidays per town, set by resolution and published in the Boletín Oficial de La Rioja; a search listing of the BOR of 19 August 2025 names 11 June (San Bernabé) and 21 September (San Mateo) for Logroño, which should be confirmed on the BOR. - Add the regional holidays
For 2026 the Acuerdo (Resolución 164/2025, BOR 12 May 2025) lists 1 and 6 January, 2, 3 and 6 April, 1 May, 9 June (Día de La Rioja), 15 August, 12 October, 7 December, 8 December and 25 December. - Check when shops may open
The regional commerce page for 2026, under Resolución 462/2025, lists ten opening days: 4 and 11 January, 2 and 6 April, 9 June, 15 August, 6 September, and 7, 20 and 27 December. - Plan around closures
Local holidays are paid, non-recoverable days off for workers and also affect administrative deadlines, so offices may be closed; check the office’s own page.
