Pay Logroño’s water and rubbish bills and other council fees

Logroño bills water and rubbish fees together by half-year, with direct debit, partner-bank or online payment, and each home receives its own bill.

Steps

  1. Know the periods
    The council’s notice of February 2026 says voluntary payment of the second-half 2025 water and rubbish bills ran until 7 April 2026, and the first half of 2026 is collected from 5 August to 5 October.
  2. Understand your bill
    The council says each bill is issued individually and shows the total and a breakdown; for rubbish the breakdown covers the street’s fiscal index, the dwelling’s size and the number of residents registered. Rubbish bills are not sent to building administrators.
  3. Pay or domicile
    The notice says direct-debit bills are charged on 5 March for that period; without direct debit you can pay with the payment letter at collaborating banks or online at the OVT with the receipt reference, and set up direct debit at the OVT with an electronic signature or at the tax office.
  4. Ask the tax office
    The Oficina de Atención al Contribuyente is on the ground floor of the Ayuntamiento; the notice recommends booking an appointment on logrono.es.
