Get around Madrid region: Tarjeta Transporte Publico and the abono

Madrid’s regional transport consortium (CRTM) sells a personal Tarjeta Transporte Publico on which you load the 30-day abono, valid across Metro, EMT, Cercanias, Metro Ligero and interurban buses.

Why it matters

A single card covers the whole network, so it is the default for commuting.

When

You live or work in Madrid and use public transport.

How long it takes

Valid 30 consecutive days from first use.
