Municipal libraries

Cartagena’s municipal library network issues a library card on presentation of an ID document, which you need to borrow items.

Cost: No fee is mentioned on the application form or e-office page.

What you need

Adult card (over 14): DNI or any other ID document, in person.
Child card (under 14): parent/guardian ID, two recent card-size photos; parent present at collection.
The paper form accepts DNI, NIF, NIE, passport or residence card as ID.

Apply for the card
Adults (over 14): show your DNI or any other identity document at a library counter. Under 14: a parent/guardian’s ID and two recent passport-size photos; the child must attend with the parent to collect the card.
Alternative
Printed application (Solicitud de carné de usuario) submitted via the city’s registro offices by cita previa, or online with a digital certificate or by email plus signing in person.
