Pay government immigration fees (Modelo 790 tasas)

State immigration fees are paid with the self-assessment form Modelo 790: código 012 for police documents such as the NIE, TIE and EU certificate, and código 052 for residence-authorization procedures; you generate the form online, pay at a bank (no account needed) or online, and bring the stamped receipt to your appointment.

Why it matters

Most foreigner procedures are refused without proof that the right fee has been paid, so you need to generate the correct form before your appointment.

When

You have an extranjería procedure (NIE, TIE, EU registration, authorization) and need to pay its tasa.
