Hospital and urgent care in Bilbao

Osakidetza’s OSI Bilbao-Basurto page lists three PACs and a reinforcement point in Bilbao, and Hospital Universitario Basurto is the OSI’s hospital.

  1. In a real emergency call 112
    112 is the emergency number; see the Basque urgent-care card (ES-PV-0004).
  2. Out of hours, use a PAC
    OSI Bilbao-Basurto lists PAC de Begoña (Virgen de Begoña 32, 944 007 620), PAC de Deusto (Luis Power 18, 946 006 666) and PAC de Rekalde (Ctra. Larrasquitu 2-A, 946 006 700), each Monday to Friday 17:00 to 24:00 and weekends and holidays 09:00 to 24:00. The page gives 944 100 000 for in-person and home care.
  3. Hospital
    Hospital Universitario Basurto is at Avda. Montevideo 18, 48013 Bilbao, switchboard 944 006 000; it says it handles more than 131,000 emergencies.
  4. Check your center
    The OSI page for the Basurto health center names Hospital Santa Marina as its reference hospital, so your center’s page can differ.
