Pay for Gijón’s city buses (EMTUSA)
EMTUSA runs Gijón’s city buses; you can pay an ordinary ticket by tapping a contactless bank card, phone or watch on board, or use a stored-value card (Tarjeta Ciudadana, the 'Tarjeta de Transporte' sold at kiosks, or the regional CONECTA card) for lower fares and transfers.
- Why it matters
- City buses are the default way to get around Gijón without a car, and the right payment card can cut the cost per trip noticeably (and, with the regional CONECTA card, cap your monthly spend at EUR 20).
- When
- You need to move around Gijón regularly without a car.
